After a long-time operation of electric and electronic equipment, wires and cables will be heated up and accelerate the aging or damage of wire joining and insulation layer, which greatly increase the possibility of fire accidents provoked by overheat. Another reason for fire accidents in wire and cable is human factor.


Flame retardant materials are widely applied in wires and cables to make fire self-extinguish or slow down the fire spread. Flame retardants do not affect the wire performance, physical performance and mechanical performance, and thus the addition of flame retardants to insulation layers can form an effective protective layer.
